Job Description Executive Assistant
MPP Joseph Racinsky Wellington-Halton Hills
This is a full-time role with time split between the Legislative Assembly of Ontario and the local Constituency office located in Fergus. Candidates need a passion for public service, and they will be joining an active and energetic team that is keen on representing Wellington-Halton Hills well. As the Executive Assistant, you will lead the successful coordination and execution of the Member’s parliamentary and community duties. The EA role is supervisory over all other staff members, and it is therefore your role to ensure all delegated tasks are completed and that any issues that need to be elevated to a supervisory position are dealt with.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Manage the Constituency office and provide leadership to staff alongside the Member.
- Manage office inventory, logistics, and finances, including the Global Office Budget, and monitor staffing levels.
- Assist the member with duties at the Legislative Assembly.
- Attend events within the riding
- Develop goals, values and strategy for the Office alongside the member, and ultimately ensure that staffing and operations are consistent with these objectives

- Effective communications and interpersonal skills used to strengthen relationships with colleagues, stakeholders and constituents
- Superior organizational, project management, and time management skills with keen attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with constantly evolving and changing priorities/challenges
- Excellent customer service skills – ability to work with the public, under pressure and amidst tight deadlines
- Strong oral and written communications skills including the ability to write in a professional and compelling manner
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), internet, e-mail and social media platforms and database software
Salary: $60,000-$75,000
