Caucus Assistant
The United Conservative Caucus consists of 47 Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) who support and promote the work of government in constituencies across Alberta. As a pipeline of talent for Ministers’ Offices, caucus is the starting place for individuals desiring a career in politics.
As a Digital Media Officer for the United Conservative Caucus, you support the work of caucus teams by responsible for operating and coordinating the UCP Caucus’ various digital assets, advertising campaigns, and social media platforms. You are fluent in all things digital, including content creation, digital advertising, and data analytics and reporting. This role combines creativity with technical and strategic acumen.

Experience:
- Experience working on political campaigns.
- Post-secondary education, with completion of a diploma or degree preferred. • Experience working in an office is an asset.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment is an asset.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide timely support to the Director of Digital Communications on all kinds of digital media projects.
- As informed by the Digital Content Strategy, help craft boards, graphics, videos, and social posts for all United Conservative Caucus social media platforms.
- Assist with photography and videography.
- Assist and co-ordinate digital campaigns including, but not limited to social media advertising (Meta, Instagram, etc).
- Other duties as required by the Director of Digital Communications.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Minimum two years experience in a digital media role.
- Experience with digital advertising campaigns on platforms like Google, Meta, and Instagram. Google Ad certification would be an asset.
- Proficiency in using Adobe Creative Cloud applications to quickly create simple, clear, and attractive digital products.
- Capable of contributing creative ideas on the fly as part of a highly motivated team in a fast paced communications environment.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to multitask. • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exhibit tact and diplomacy in interactions.
Salary information:
- Annual salary starts at $58,000 depending on relevant experience
